The Curve brings the Discover Borneo 2026 at the Centre Court from May 6 to 17. This event, celebrating the Hari Gawai harvest festival, showcases the vibrant traditions of Sabah and Sarawak through culture, cuisine, crafts, and immersive experiences, all within the Klang Valley. Guided by the theme “Bringing Tradition Towards Sustainability,” the festival highlights the importance of preserving heritage while supporting local communities and promoting more meaningful, experience-driven engagement.

Central to the event is the Heritage Bazaar, highlighting genuine vendors from Sabah and Sarawak who present a lively display of Bornean flavors and artistry including local specialties like kolok mee, Sarawak laksa and nasi bungkus, desserts such as kek lapis and gula apong ice cream. A variety of traditional items and handmade crafts will also be on offer, including pua kumbu textiles, rattan weaving, beadwork, accessories, natural garam bukit and plant-based MSG derived from leaves.
Datun Julud Dance, kek lapis making sessions and interactive workshops
The festival showcases cultural performances and activities including the Datun Julud Dance, interactive workshops such as blowpipe activities and kek lapis making sessions, and “Cook & Eat” experiences with prizes and giveaways. Families can participate in the Borneo Kids Colouring Contest where young artists can express their creativity and win exciting prizes. Travel booths offer specially curated holiday packages for Sabah and Sarawak and visitors can also engage in the Stamp & Redeem campaign to collect stamps from various activity zones and exchange them for exclusive rewards.
