PropertyGuru’s Office Becomes a Pre-Loved Market in Collaboration With Tropicana

From 20 to 22 October 2026, Tropicana Foundation and PropertyGuru Group holds Malaysia’s first corporate Pre-Loved Market at PropertyGuru’s headquarters in The Gardens South Tower, Kuala Lumpur. Employees donate items they no longer need and colleagues shop for them. All proceeds go to local charities and welfare homes. Racks of clothing, kitchenware, books, accessories and small appliances turned the workspace into a pop-up market and the organisers say it is a practical way for companies to bring sustainability and giving into the working day.

Tropicana Foundation, the community-focused arm of Tropicana Corporation Berhad has set clear goals for this year’s edition. It aims to collect more than 1,500 items, raise over RM10,000 and keep 300 kg of waste out of landfills. Its previous Pre-Loved Market redistributed 774 items and diverted more than 190 kg of waste, so the targets are a big step up. Programme Director Serena Lim said the thinking behind the market is that what no longer serves one person can become valuable to another. She added that the foundation wanted to go beyond traditional donation drives by giving employees a way to take part in the circular economy while supporting people in need.

Jac Ng, PropertyGuru’s Country Head of Developer Sales, said meaningful change begins with the collective actions of its people. Bringing the initiative into the workplace, he said, encourages a stronger culture of responsible consumption, teamwork and giving, and he hopes more companies will follow. Ixora Ang, Tropicana’s Managing Director of Marketing & Sales and Business Development, said the collaboration shows how corporate partnerships can create social and environmental impact beyond business deals. As a thank-you, participating PropertyGuru employees get an additional 5% corporate rebate on selected Tropicana properties until 30 November 2026. This is on top of applicable promotional rebates and subject to terms and conditions.
The timing also overlaps with the third and final season of Tropicana’s LIVE+ campaign, which runs from 1 October to 31 December 2026. Rewards include a chance to win an AI massage chair and a grand prize of 50% homeownership savings for one winner from each participating development. Purchasers can also have legal fees and stamp duties borne by Tropicana, along with flexible financing options and referral rewards of up to RM80,000, subject to terms and conditions. Established in 2011, Tropicana Foundation supports health, wellness, education, recycling and sports initiatives, and says it has contributed more than RM26 million over the years. It is now inviting more companies to host a Pre-Loved Market of their own. Details are at tropicanafoundation.com.my.
