Hock Kee Kopitiam & Grand Millennium Elevates Malaysian Culinary Heritage for Visit Malaysia 2026/7

Hock Kee Kopitiam, a brand dedicated to preserving and celebrating the nation's diverse culinary heritage has officially collaborated with Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur. The collaboration between the Muhibbah-inspired kopitiam and the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award five-star hotel aims to provide international visitors and hotel guests directly with the experience of authentic local flavors in the heart of Bukit Bintang.

Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur will extend a 10% dining privilege to its hotel guests across all Hock Kee Kopitiam outlets nationwide. Looking ahead, both organizations are actively exploring further integration, including jointly curated guest packages and incorporating signature Hock Kee offerings such as its reknowned laksa directly into the hotel’s internal dining menus. Additional initiatives under consideration encompass cross-brand marketing campaigns and targeted tourism activations, which will be introduced progressively as the partnership matures.

Situated in Kuala Lumpur's primary shopping and tourism district, both properties are strategically positioned to leverage the momentum of the Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 initiative. Tourism Malaysia reported that the country welcomed 28.8 million international visitors between January and August 2026 alone. Commending the alliance, YBrs Mr. Mohd Akbal Setia, Deputy Director General (Promotions) and Head of the Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 Secretariat noted that authentic kopitiam culture serves as a vital cultural gateway reflecting the unity and warmth of Malaysian society, praising private sector synergies that make local food heritage more accessible to global travelers.

Representing the respective brands, Hock Kee Kopitiam Founder Mr. Nick Ng emphasized the brand's role as a Strategic Partner of Visit Malaysia 2026–2027, expressing a commitment to broadening the brand's reach along the tourist journey. Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur General Manager Mr. Jim Khoo added that the collaboration enriches the overall guest stay by extending hospitality beyond accommodation, providing international travelers with a deeper cultural connection to Kuala Lumpur's vibrant culinary traditions as Malaysia prepares for a wave of tourism.
