Taiwan Taste Lab is set to return to Kuala Lumpur from August 28 to 31 2026, providing participants with an immersive experience of modern Taiwan through its cuisine, lifestyle, design and cultural stories. The third edition showcases eight Taiwanese brands and includes culinary collaborations, interactive activities and creative exchanges with Malaysian partners in a four-day program that highlights diverse aspects of Taiwanese culture and creativity beyond a traditional product showcase. The event will take place at Eslite Spectrum Kuala Lumpur. Organized by the Administration of Commerce, Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) Taiwan, implemented by the China Productivity Center (CPC) and in collaboration with Eslite Spectrum Kuala Lumpur.
The event kicks off on Friday 28 August with a media launch that includes founders and representatives from the participating brands. The session will delve into the narratives behind the brands and examine how local ingredients, craftsmanship and cultural influences have shaped their products. On Saturday 29 August, the Taiwan Meets Malaysia afternoon tea experience will bring together Taiwanese ingredients and Malaysian culinary influences. The culinary focus continues on Sunday 30 August, when eslite Dining Table presents an exclusive menu created by a Malaysian private chef using products from all eight participating Taiwanese brands. The menu will reinterpret the ingredients across beverages, appetisers, main courses and desserts, highlighting the possibilities of cross-cultural culinary collaboration. The programme concludes on Monday 31 August in conjunction with Malaysia’s National Day with a discussion titled “Can Culture Become a Souvenir?”
Visitors can explore the brands through the Taiwan Brand Discovery experience which combines product tastings, storytelling and interactive activities. Those who complete the discovery journey can personalise a limited-edition tote bag with Taiwan-inspired heat-transfer stickers.
