Dusit Princess Ipoh Set to Open on 1st October, Expanding Their Malaysian Footprint
Dusit Hotels and Resorts, the hotel arm of Thailand’s Dusit International, has announced the official opening of Dusit Princess Ipoh on 1st October 2026. Owned by Bursa Malaysia-listed Plenitude Berhad, the rebranded 268-room upper-midscale property brings Thai-inspired hospitality to the capital of Perak state. Located beside the Perak Turf Club, the hotel sits under five minutes from Ipoh city centre and ten minutes from Sultan Azlan Shah Airport, positioning it as an accessible gateway for leisure, corporate, and long-stay guests.
Accommodation spans five distinct categories, ranging from 25 sq m Superior Rooms to 58 sq m Family Suites. Designed for extended stays and family flexibility, select room categories include dedicated kitchenettes alongside standard amenities such as high-speed Wi-Fi, smart TVs, in-room safes, and ergonomic workspaces. Guest facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, a Kids Club, self-service laundry facilities, accessible rooms, a prayer room, and a 6,580 sq ft fitness center with extended operating hours.
Dining options feature The Atrium, an all-day restaurant with views of the surrounding limestone hills serving a regional buffet breakfast including local favorites alongside a global ala carte menu. Complementing this is a lobby coffee shop offering specialty teas, juices, and pastries. For meetings, weddings and corporate events, the hotel provides 964 sq m of flexible event space across three venues, anchored by the 496.8 sq m Kinta Ballroom, capable of hosting up to 400 guests and supported by Kampar Hall and the Gopeng Room.
The launch aims to capture Perak’s expanding tourism market, following 23.6 million domestic visitor arrivals in 2025. Group CEO of Dusit International, Mr. Chanin Donavanik and Non-Executive Chairman of Plenitude Berhad, Madam Elsie Chua, emphasized that the partnership leverages an established asset to support regional growth while introducing curated local experiences. Through the hotel's "Discover the Soul of Ipoh" program, guests can access guided heritage photography walks, visits to Tambun pomelo orchards and cave temples, traditional white coffee trails, Labu Sayong pottery workshops and family cooking classes.
To celebrate its opening, Dusit Princess Ipoh is offering introductory rates starting from RM230 per night, which includes RM50 in daily food and beverage credit.
