JYY Group Builds Global Identity for Malaysian Trigona Honey at Inaugural 2026 Scientific Symposium

JYY Group hosted the 2026 Malaysian Trigona Honey Scientific Symposium to advance the scientific validation, quality standardization, and global commercialization of Malaysian stingless bee honey. Officiated by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Security YB Datuk Chan Foong Hin and Director-General of the Department of Agriculture Dato’ Nor Sam, the event convened government officials, industry leaders, and academic researchers to build a dedicated ecosystem for native agricultural exports.
During the event, JYY Group signed a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) with Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). The partnership aims to deepen research into sustainable beekeeping, neuroscience, and antimicrobial properties. Phase-two laboratory findings presented by UTAR demonstrated that the JYNNS Trigona Propolis Mouth Spray achieved up to 99.9999% antibacterial activity against major pathogens—including E. coli and Salmonella—outperforming several international benchmarks.
To support commercial reach, JYY Group also inked a strategic retail agreement with Watsons Malaysia, making the pharmacy chain the first retail partner to carry the full JYNNS Trigona product series. By combining Sarawak-sourced ingredients certified under Malaysian Good Agricultural Practices (myGAP) with expanded retail distribution, JYY Group seeks to position Malaysian Trigona Honey as an internationally recognized wellness resource alongside global standards like New Zealand's Manuka honey.
