In celebration of Merdeka Day 2026, 888 Tea & Coffee presents “Bersama Kita Tertarik,” a musical collaboration honoring Malaysia’s multicultural identity and teh tarik culture. Supported by Tourism Malaysia, this initiative aims to showcase teh tarik as a cultural experience that fosters connections and memories across communities.  Alongside the music video, 888 Tea & Coffee will introduce 888 Teh Tarik Malaysia, a convenient blend that captures the authentic taste of traditional teh tarik. The launch reflects 888 Tea & Coffee’s dedication to preserving Malaysia’s beverage heritage while adapting to consumer needs, expanding its offerings to include a variety of beverages.

As part of the Visit Malaysia 2026-2027 campaign, 888 Tea & Coffee aims to highlight Malaysia's cultural richness and hospitality through teh tarik. The partnership with Tourism Malaysia emphasizes sharing Malaysia's warmth and diversity with a global audience.

Research emphasizes teh tarik's importance in culinary tourism, showcasing its unique "pulling" technique and the social interactions it encourages. It transcends being just a drink, offering travelers a glimpse into Malaysia’s hospitality and heritage.

Mohd Akbal Setia from Tourism Malaysia noted that teh tarik connects people and reflects Malaysia’s culinary heritage. Alvin Ang See Ming from 888 Tea & Coffee emphasized that beverages encapsulate culture and shared moments, celebrating unity through tradition.

“Bersama Kita Tertarik” features Malaysian acts—Alif Satar & The Locos, Danny Koo, and Kidd Santhe—showcasing the beauty of Malaysia’s diversity. Set to launch on 31 August 2026, this initiative serves as a reminder of unity and pride in Malaysia’s identity.
