SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) is proud to serve as the platinum sponsor for the 5th FAI World Cup of Indoor Skydiving, a global event that has taken Macau by storm. Not only is it the largest indoor skydiving championship ever, but it also marks the first time that Macau and the Asia-Pacific region have hosted such an event. The 5th FAI World Cup of Indoor Skydiving is not the only highlight. Simultaneously, it features the 3rd FAI European Indoor Skydiving Championships and the 1st FAI Asian Indoor Skydiving Championships. These three prestigious championships are divided into three stages:

  1. Opening Ceremony and Athlete Speed Tests (17 April): The excitement kicked off with the opening ceremony and speed tests.

  2. Preliminary and Semi-Final Rounds (18-19 April): Elite flyers and coaches from 28 countries and regions competed fiercely.

  3. Finals and Award Ceremony (20 April): The best of the best showcased their skills, vying for top honors.

Over 200 elite flyers and 84 coaches formed 95 teams, representing a diverse range of countries. Remarkably, ninety percent of the international athletes and participating teams visited Macau for the first time. Among the competitors, star athletes like Toms Ivans from Latvia, head coach of GoAirborne Macau, stood out. Toms Ivans previously clinched the FAI World Cup of Indoor Skydiving in 2018 in Berlin and holds the Guinness World Record for the most backward somersaults in a wind tunnel.

The opening ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including:
