Sime Darby Property's esteemed Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC) welcomed six-time Major Champion Sir Nick Faldo as its new Golf Course Design Consultant, initiating an exciting venture to improve the club's East Course.

The agreement was officially signed by Sir Nick Faldo on behalf of Faldo Design Inc. and Jordan Ng, Director of KLGCC Berhad. The event was witness by KLGCC Club President Tun Musa Hitam, KLGCC Club Captain Datuk Syed Tamim Ansari Syed Mohamed, KLGCC General Manager Adam Calver, the Ambassador of France to Malaysia Axel Cruau, the High Commissioner of India to Malaysia B.N. Reddy, and Mark Adams from Faldo Design Inc, along with members of Sime Darby Property’s Board, senior management, KLGCC officials, club members and invited guests.

In this partnership, KLGCC will host two major tournaments as part of the Faldo Series—the Faldo Junior Tour and the Faldo Futures Malaysia Qualifying Event. These events are open to Malaysian golfers aged 7 to 21, providing a platform for young talents to gain international recognition, following in the footsteps of Faldo Series alumni like Rory McIlroy, Yani Tseng, and Malaysia's Kelly Tan. The Faldo Futures initiative introduces aspiring golfers aged 7 to 12 to competitive golf. This developmental path smoothly transitions into the Junior Tour, which includes 54-hole World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) events, ultimately culminating in the prestigious Faldo Series Asia Grand Final.
