ASICS proudly introduces the latest additions to its METASPEED™ Series, the METASPEED™ SKY PARIS and METASPEED™ EDGE PARIS, designed for accomplished runners aiming to achieve personal best performances. Developed through an extensive process led by the ASICS Institute of Sport Science, involving third-party testers and elite athletes worldwide, these shoes have been enhanced to be lighter, softer, and bouncier, with a redesigned full-length carbon plate configuration.

In 2021, ASICS pioneered the METASPEED™ Concept, launching two racing shoes catering to distinct running styles – STRIDE and CADENCE. The METASPEED™ SKY PARIS and METASPEED™ EDGE PARIS are tailored for these styles, ensuring an improved design that maintains ideal posture and foot strike angles, conserving energy during fatigue.

Key improvements include a weight reduction of approximately 22g in both models, achieved through the new MOTION WRAP™ UPPER 2.0 for a lighter and more breathable upper, coupled with the FF TURBO PLUS midsole foam. This foam is not only lighter but also softer and bouncier, providing added cushioning for longer runs in training and competition.

The METASPEED™ SKY PARIS features a widened full-length carbon plate in the forefoot for improved bounce during toe-off, while the METASPEED™ EDGE PARIS optimally positions the carbon plate for CADENCE runners, with a minimal design for enhanced toe-off and reduced weight. The forefoot construction utilizes a new last for better arch support and a stable platform, ensuring optimal performance for quick runs.
